片口 katakuchi is a traditional japanese form of ceramic ware､ historically used for serving sake and later adapted for preparing matcha and pouring tea with ease｡

this bowl is handcrafted by volodymyr onyshchenko､ a master ceramicist with over 40 years of experience and exceptional expertise in glazing techniques｡ the delicate translucent glaze highlights the form､ while the water lily motif､ created by volyn-based artist maksym son､ adds a poetic visual layer｡

this object is the result of nearly a year of research into form､ color､ materials､ and glaze､ bringing together ukrainian craftsmanship and japanese tradition｡
