Hundreds of years ago、 seeking love、 farmers from the picturesque town of Uji created Hatsu Koi matcha。 There、 where time flows calmly、 and the grasses whisper their secrets、 the teas Yabukita、 Okumidori、 and Saemidori grow。

Their carefully gathered and finely chopped leaves give birth to the ceremonial blend Hatsu Koi。 Its soft、 creamy flavour is filled with delicate hints of vanilla and apricot and smoothly transitions into a light cotton candy sweetness。

Each sip is filled with genuine love。 It reminds me of the tenderness I experienced for the first time — warm encounters that unfold on the palate。 Turn to first love — Hatsu Koi、 when you desire to arrange a matcha ceremony。

 

preparation of usucha

• warm the chawan with hot water
• sift 2g of matcha — approximately 2 chashaku — into the chawan
• add 80ml of water at 70〜80°C
• whisk with a bamboo whisk — chasen — for 30 seconds、moving it in a “w” motion

matcha 抹茶 — is finely ground tencha leaves — a japanese green tea that、 thanks to shading、 accumulates a high concentration of the natural amino acid l-theanine、 which has scientifically proven positive effects on the body and nervous system。

2g of matcha contain 40〜70mg of theanine and 60〜70mg of caffeine、which together create a state of calm concentration and improve focus。
