preparation of thick koicha

• warm the chawan with hot water
• sift 2 g of matcha — approximately 2 chashaku — into the chawan
• add 40 ml of water at 70〜80°c
• whisk with a bamboo whisk — chasen — for 30〜 seconds, moving it in a “w” motion

how does tea affect the body?

matcha 抹茶 — is finely ground tencha leaves — a japanese green tea that, thanks to shading, accumulates a high concentration of the natural amino acid l-theanine, which has scientifically proven positive effects on the body and nervous system。
