Chashaku spoon
Your measuring spoon chashaku
The true pleasure begins the ritual of preparing matcha by taking the chasaku into your hands, a practically weightless utensil. The special spoon used for scooping ensures the right amount of matcha powder is used.
At first glance, the chasaku may seem to have a simple form, but in reality, it is thoughtfully crafted down to the smallest details. It is straight, carved from a bamboo stem, gently widening and rounding towards the bottom, forming a flat horizontal base.
Thanks to this composition, the chasaku allows for the beautiful and careful placement of matcha into the bowl and the precise measurement of the required amount of tea.
